Keywords:

Canadian consumption behaviour has significantly evolved due to socio-economic shifts, digital transformation, and geographic disparities. Rural and urban populations demonstrate distinctive consumption patterns due to differences in income levels, accessibility to resources, cultural orientations, and lifestyle preferences. This research paper examines how these two segments differ across areas such as purchasing priorities, brand loyalty, digital adoption, sustainability behaviour, and consumption motivations. By synthesizing national datasets and existing literature, this study highlights the contextual factors shaping rural vs. urban consumer behaviour in Canada and outlines implications for marketers, policymakers, and retailers.
