Manuscript Submission

The Canadian Journal of Marketing Research (CJMR) welcomes the submission of original, high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of marketing research, theory, and practice. Authors are encouraged to carefully review the journal’s policies and submission requirements before submitting their work.

Types of Manuscripts Accepted

Submission Requirements

Authors should ensure that manuscripts:

  • Are original and unpublished.
  • Are not under consideration by another journal or publication.
  • Are written in clear and professional English.
  • Follow the journal’s formatting and referencing guidelines.
  • Include all required author information and affiliations.
  • Contain accurate citations and references.
  • Comply with ethical and publication standards.

Online Submission

Authors should submit their manuscripts electronically via the journal’s submission system or by email to:

The submission should include:

  • Complete manuscript file in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
  • Title page containing author details
  • Abstract and keywords

Initial Editorial Screening

Upon receipt, manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine:

  • Adherence to ethical standards

Manuscripts failing to meet these requirements may be returned to authors for revision or rejected before peer review.

Peer Review Process

Eligible manuscripts are forwarded for single-blind peer review. Independent reviewers evaluate the scientific quality, originality, methodology, clarity, and contribution of the manuscript. Authors may be requested to revise their submissions based on reviewer comments before a final decision is made.

Revision and Resubmission

Authors receiving revision requests should submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response addressing all reviewer comments. Failure to adequately respond to reviewer recommendations may result in rejection.

Final Acceptance

Accepted manuscripts undergo editorial processing, copyediting, proofreading, and formatting before publication. The editorial office reserves the right to make minor editorial changes to improve clarity, consistency, and presentation.

Author Responsibility

Authors are solely responsible for the accuracy of the content, data, references, and conclusions presented in their manuscripts. Any errors identified after publication should be reported promptly to the Editorial Office.
