Abstract

Gender preconception endure and are propagated by social, instructive and economic socialization, as well as the media, all of which encourage bias and discrimination related to sexuality. This paper argues that social ideas from gender studies-which might be helpful in developing positive, gendered-neutral but action-packed managerial viewpoints-are ignored by modern managerial culture. The paper outlines several aspects of prejudice against women and how they affect women’s professional growth from a perspective of leadership, which links it to the essential concepts of gender studies.
